Will reopen all fake cases registered by Badals against innocent people: Captain Amarinder

Talwandi Sabo, January 15. Punjab Congress president Captain Amarinder Singh on Sunday promised to reopen all fake cases registered by the Badal government during their 10-year tenure, and declared that he would teach the Badals a lesson for looting Punjab’s people. Captain Amarinder thanked the massive and enthusiastic crowd for waiting patiently at the rally ground for more than a couple of hours, saying it indicated the desperation with which the people of the state wanted change.
The Badals, and their cronies such as local Akali MLA Jeet Mohinder Singh Sidhu, who is involved in registration of many fake cases against innocent people, will not be spared, declared Captain Amarinder to deafening cheers from the people. He asserted that each of the 5 lakh odd false cases registered by the Badals would be reopened by his government on assuming power and he would also ensure that the local MLA, who had left the Congress for personal vested gains, is made to suffer for his misdeeds. Exhorting them to vote for the Congress candidate from the assembly segment, Khushbaj Singh Jatana, Captain Amarinder assured the people of the area that his party was committed to setting right all the wrongs done by the Badals in the last one decade. He made it clear that the next Congress government would free the state from all the mafias run by the Badals.
Citing Sukhbir Singh Badal’s Sukhvilas, which charges Rs. 5 lakh per night, as an example of the Badals’ loot, Captain Amarinder said they were only interested in promoting their family interests and were totally unconcerned about the welfare of Punjab. “I will punish the Akalis for what they have done to the state. I will make sure that every one of them, including the Badals, is punished for destroying the youth of Punjab with drugs and for exploiting the state’s financial and other resources through other mafias such as sand, land, cable TV etc,” said the PPCC chief. Warning the people against being carried away by the false promises of the sneaky Arvind Kejriwal, Captain Amarinder said the AAP leader wanted to capture power in Punjab by hook or by crook. AAP had no concern and no trust for the people of Punjab, said the Punjab Congress president, pointing out that they had been bringing supporters from other states to take forward their political and electoral agenda.
Punjab belongs to Punjabis, with no place for outsiders who are only here to loot the state and its people, asserted Captain Amarinder. Jatana, in his address, described Captain Amarinder as the saviour of the Punjab waters, adding that voting for Arvind Kejriwal, a Haryanvi, would mean giving away the much-needed water of the state to Haryana. Several Akali sarpanches and former sarpanches, Youth Akali Dal workers, as well as Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers, joined the Congress on this occasion.
